Surgery went just fine. The scariest part is when they wake up from the anethesia. She was so angry and hungry. All of the kids seem to wake up mad, thrashing and kicking and screaming. Everyone at the surgery center was nice and well organized. They have these quiet darkened rooms with rocking chairs to help them wake up less scared, but Lindsey never would open her eyes to even notice. She cried for a good hour and fell asleep on the ride home. She napped for about 3 hours (dad and I slept for two hours), and when she woke up she was nearly good as new! It was almost like she didn't remember it.
When she sat there watching Mickey Mouse for the 100,000th time, it was as if she'd never heard or seen it before. She danced and laughed! So maybe she wasn't really hearing anything that well after all.
We will keep you posted.
