We made cookies today because- well it's been raining since Friday. We had to do something! Lindsey helped me the whole way through making the cookies. She helped gather ingredients, stirred the batter, poured, and sampled the mini chocolate chips.
This was a definite improvement over our Target shopping experience this morning. Today she realized there were red phones through out the store on various aisles (for customer assistance). For some reason she thought they were toy phones and had it in her mind that she had to use one. I'd hold her back and try to distract her but then she'd see one again and make a dash for it. She finally ended up throwing a fit in the middle of Target's soup aisle insisting that she would no longer follow me through the store. When I tried to force her into the cart I bumped her head on the push bar and that made things way worse. We were literally at a stand off for 10 minutes on the soup aisle. I waited on one end of the aisle and she waited on the other, until finally she met me in the middle and forgave me for bumping her head.

Been there! Not exactly for the same reason, but the Target meltdown I am familiar with.
